On September 11–12, 2025, the city festival “Turki Fest Almaty” was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event brought together seven leading universities of Almaty: Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Kazakh National Women’s Pedagogical University, Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Almaty Technological University, and Kazakh National Agrarian Research University.
As part of academic mobility programs, Ablai Khan University has welcomed new students from Minzu University, Xian University of International Studies, Lanzhou University, Xinjiang University, IULM, the University of Vienna, and the University of Bordeaux Montaigne.
On September 11, 2025, the Department of International Law organized a meeting with 2nd- and 4th-year students of the educational programs “International Relations”, “International Law”, and “Jurisprudence” to discuss the President’s Address of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the people of Kazakhstan.

On September 9, first-year students of the Faculty of Management and International Communications majoring in Tourism took an educational excursion to the house-museum dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Kazakh educator, public figure, Teacher of the Nation - Akhmet Baitursynov. The excursion was organized within the framework of the academic discipline "Regional History and Tourism" by leading teachers of the Department of International Tourism Management Kirgizbaeva B.M., Bisarieva S.Sh. and Anuarkhan M.
On September 9, 2025, an international practical conference on the theme “Policies toward Labor Migrant Families and Directions of Social Policy for Public Well-Being” was held at Ablai khan KazUIR&WL. The organizers of the conference were the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Ablai khan KazUIR&WL, the Center for Korean Studies, the Korean Research Institute of Social Policy (Republic of Korea), as well as the Association of Social Policy of Eurasian and Northeast Asian Countries.
On September 5, 2025, the President of the Graduate School of Entrepreneurial Studies (Japan), Professor Tatsuya Kuroda visited JSC KazUIR&WL named after Ablai Khan. Mr. Kuroda also the head of the Niigata Research Institute of Artificial Intelligence and the director of Niigata Venture Capital Co., Ltd. and the author of the book "Democracy and Leadership in Japanese Politics".
On September 2, 2025, first- and second-year doctoral students of the educational program "Foreign Philology" took part in a conference dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the Kazakh writer Abai Kunanbayev titled "The Legacy of the Wise Poet Abai and Spiritual Continuity in the Turkic World."
During the conference, leading scholars discussed Abai’s legacy and his significant role in strengthening the spiritual unity of the Turkic world.
On August 29, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was held at KazUMOiWL named after Ablai Khan.
