Sustainable development is a set of measures aimed at meeting current human needs while preserving the environment and resources, that is, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Sustainable development is possible with the balance of three main components: economic growth, social responsibility and environmental balance. According to the UN program document "The Agenda for Sustainable Development" of 2015, 17 sustainable development goals are allocated.
At the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, not all goals can be equally feasible, but their popularization among teaching staff and students, their implementation through the organization and implementation of systemic measures at the university and beyond, will improve the quality of life of future generations.
The Center for Sustainable Development is responsible for planning and implementing the SDGs.
