On April 3, 2026, the Department of International Law organized a mock trial with the participation of Elena Robertovna Kvan, a judge of District Court №2 of the Bostandyk District of Almaty, for second-year students enrolled in the educational programs “6B04201 – Jurisprudence” and “6B04202 – International Law.”

On April 2, 2026, the faculty and students of the “Journalism” educational program actively participated in the international Fact-Checking Day 2026 event, dedicated to ensuring information integrity amid the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the rise of information manipulation. The event was held at Narxoz University in Almaty.

On March 31, 2026, the Zhetysu State University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted the Republican interuniversity competition “AI SANA - Digital Kazakhstan: Projects of the Future.” The AI-OSINT team from Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages took part in the competition.

As part of the informational campaign of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education aimed at improving legal literacy and fostering zero tolerance toward forced marriage, stalking, and other forms of violence against women, psychologist Nizamudin Mukhabbat delivered a lecture titled “Stalking: Where Attention Ends and Danger Begins.”

Within the framework of implementing the “Law and Order” ideology, a city debate tournament on the topic “Security and Peacekeeping” was held on March 28–29, 2026, at Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.

On March 28, 2026, the city stage of the 19th International “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Language Proficiency Competition for university students was held in Almaty at the Confucius Institute of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was organized by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Almaty.

In March 2026, within the framework of the academic international cooperation program, a series of lectures was delivered at the Faculty of Translation and Philology by invited Professor Jürgen Capitain (Germany/Switzerland), who has many years of teaching and research experience in the field of philology and foreign language teaching methodology.

On March 26, 2026, a lecture was held at Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Damina D. Shaibakova on the topic “Linguistic Pluricentrism and Aspects of Its Study.” The lecture was attended by faculty members as well as doctoral students of the university.

Ilyas Sadykhanov, Head of the Department for Support of International Projects and Rankings at the International Office of the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, successfully completed a training mobility within the Erasmus+ programme (Staff Training Mobility) at the University of Perpignan Via Domitia.
