On January 10, 2020, the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages held a round table discussion on "Russian language in multilingual Kazakhstan and the problems of didactics".
During the discussion, Prof. Bayandina S.Zh. spoke about language policy in Kazakhstan; Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor M. Yunusova spoke about the state of teaching the Russian language at the Uigur school; Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ismagulova B.Kh. spoke on the trends in the preparation of Russian language textbooks in the context of updated educational content.
The round table were attended by representatives of the NAO named after Y. Altynsarin, the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, KazNPU named after Abay, Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Textbook” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as by teachers of the Russian language, doctoral students and undergraduates.
