On May 14, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “The Turkic World: Traditions, Practice, and Prospects for the Development of Electoral Systems” was held at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University in the city of Turkistan. The event was organized by the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the aegis of the Consultative Platform of the Central Election Authorities of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The conference was attended by the heads of the central election authorities of the OTS member states, representatives of the OTS Secretariat, Turkic organizations, Turkologists, scholars from leading universities of the OTS member states, and members of the Expert Council under the CEC of Kazakhstan.
Scholars from the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages actively participated in the conference. They prepared reports for the session titled “Analysis of Electoral Systems of Turkic States: Achievements and Prospects.”
