On January 22, 2026, a special lecture was held at Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages by Professor Kim Sang Cheol of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. The lecture was titled “Changes in the ‘New Great Game’ in Central Asia in the 21st Century and Competition in the Sphere of Soft Power (Based on a Comparative Analysis of the Reactions of the Younger Generation in Kazakhstan and Korea).”
Students from the Korean Studies division of the Faculty of Oriental Studies enrolled in the educational programs Translation Studies, Foreign Philology and Oriental Studies took part in the lecture.
