Fourth-year students of the educational program 6B03101—“International Relations”—Ilyas Imamzarov, Almaz Sultanbek, and Oleg Plazun—successfully completed their pre-graduation internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the Department of Consular Service, from March 10 to April 24, 2026.
During his internship, Ilyas Imamzarov worked in the American and European Affairs Department, Almaz Sultanbek worked in the Asian and Middle East Affairs Department, and Oleg Plazun completed his internship in the Visa and Passport Department.
The students' primary areas of work included translating visa-free travel agreements, working with archival materials and documentation, and preparing and writing diplomatic notes. The internship allowed the students to gain valuable experience in diplomacy and consular service, as well as apply their theoretical knowledge in a professional environment.
During his internship, Ilyas Imamzarov translated visa waiver agreements for service and diplomatic passport holders, as well as drafted notes for Kazakhstani government agencies. Sultanbek Almaz, in turn, served as a bridge between the Department and the civilian population, responding to citizen inquiries and relaying necessary information to his department colleagues. In addition, Almaz also translated visa waiver agreements.
