Nostrification Procedure for International Applicants

What is nostrification?

Nostrificationis a procedure for recognition of international documents on higher and postgraduate professional education, that is, the consent of the relevant state authorities on the presence of legal validity of the documents on the territory of the state.
According to the Rules of recognition and nostrification of documents on education, approved by order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 10, 2008 N8 for recognition and nostrification procedures of education documents applicants must submit certain documents (list of documents).

Steps necessary for nostrification procedure

Bring the following documents from your home country:

Apostilled or legalized original diploma and its supplement/ transcript
Letter of accreditation

Please translate to Russian or Kazakh and notarize the following documents in notary services in Almaty:

Letter of accreditation
Original diploma and its supplement/ transcript
Passport

Please submit all required documents to the Admissions Office:

Notarized translation of letter of accreditation
Original diploma and its supplement/ transcript
Notarized translation of diploma and its supplement/ transcript
Notarized translation of student’s passport

Please pay for the nostrification/ recognition procedure and bring receipt of payment
(amount to be identified by the Center of Bologna Process and Academic Mobility based on the country and year of diploma’s issuance). Once the amount is identified (min. KZT 10,256, max. KZT 26,299, bank transfer fee ~KZT 200), the payment should be made to the following bank requisites::

Get the result of diploma nostrification/recognition procedure
(the procedure takes six months at the longest)
