On March 7, 2017, the Faculty of International Relations hosted a creative meeting of students with a well-known Kazakh actor and playwright, honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Youth Award “Daryn” Esenaliev Baygali.

Faculty of International Relations (Department of Basic English) conducted (March 04, 2017) a scientific and methodological seminar for teachers on the theme: "Teaching methodology in Higher Educational Institution: modern trends."
During the seminar the teachers got acquainted with modern principles of teaching, teaching technologies in the university, methods of teaching the humanities and web-based learning tools.

On the 1 March 2017, Deputy-Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Senior Lecturer of the Chair of International Relations, Tokmurzayeva Akbota with the 3rd year students of the Faculty attended a play “The key of Happiness” at Kazakh Muhtar Auezov State Theatre. This cultural trip was organized in the framework of advisor’s annual plan.

As part of a series of ten-day SPD events dedicated to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of KazUIR & WL a guest lecture on the topic on "Effective marketing, Branding" was held on February 21, 2017 at the classroom #407. The guest speaker was Anastasia Akhmetova, a head of the "Effective marketing" company.

In our University held the annual Republican Olympiad on the foreign languages! This year the Olympiad was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Ablai Khan University of international relations and world languages. The event was presented by 12 cities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, 21 universities, more than 350 participants, several language destinations are: English, German, French, Chinese, Korean, Arabic!!!

On 23^rd February, Deputy Director of the Kazakhstan Bureau for Human Rights, Denis Jivaga delivered a public lecture for 3^rd year students of specialty “5B020200 – International Relations” and  “5B050500- regional studies” dedicated to the topical issues of international refugee law.

On 20 February 2017, the Faculty of International Relations hosted a well-known academic figure and public speaker Sanzhar Kerymbay. He delivered an interesting lecture on the topic “Logotherapy: meaning of life or love for life”, during which the issues of suicide among the youth, motivations in life, and the role of spiritual-moral education of students have been discussed.

On 15-th February at 517 audience at the Faculty of International Relation lecturer Moldakhmet Bidas held an open lecture with the students of the 3rd course on the theme: "The causes of terrorism in the Middle East" in English.

20 February Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Ph.D. Rayev D.S. and Lecturer at the Department of Regional Studies Sarsenov M.B. went to M. Auezov Drama Theatre. The play was "Kulemyz ba zhylaymyz ba?" as an application form of the study of social and political problems of the youth.

On February 21, 2017 in the 1^st building in the room № 211 the scientific-methodological seminar on the language situation in the contemporary Kazakhstan took place. This event was dedicated to 75^th anniversary of Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages. During the seminar Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of Regional Studies Department Kadyrzhanov R.K. made a report on “The Triunity of languages in Kazakhstan: problems and prospects”.
