From November 13 to 15, 2024, the delegation of Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL headed by Vice-Rector for Strategic Development D.A. Kunanbaeva visited one of the leading universities of the People's Republic of China - Southwest University in Chongqing.
Our delegation was met by Vice-Rector of Southwest University Zhao Yufang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the International College of Southwest University Liu Meng, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Dai Yuanhong, Director of the International Chinese Education Section of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of Southwest University Lai Wenjia, Director of the Student Affairs Department of the International College of Southwest University Yang Kun; representative of the International Chinese Education Section of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Pan Shuang. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the issues related to the implementation of Dual Diploma programs in Foreign Philology (Chinese language), as well as to approve the terms of the contract between the universities.
It should be noted that Southwest University has been a good partner of Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL since 2015, with the participation of which the Confucius Center was opened at our university in 2017. Every year more than 20 students of Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL participate in academic mobility programs. The educational process is also based on the participation of Southwest University, whose faculty members annually participate in teaching Chinese to our students, coming for one academic period.
That is why the implementation of Double Diploma programs of Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL and Southwest University has become another strategically important task for the implementation of internationalization of education.
