On September 25, 2025, a solemn certificate awarding ceremony of the QS World University Rankings 2026 took place in Almaty at the Concordia Theater of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. The event was attended by representatives of the international ranking agency QS, heads of leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, government officials, students, and faculty members.
This year, 22 Kazakhstani universities entered the ranking, among them Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, which became an important confirmation of the growing international recognition of our University and of the national higher education system as a whole.
In the 2026 ranking cycle, according to the results of the QS World University Rankings analysis, Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages occupies a position in the «1201–1400» range. This indicates that the University is ahead of 85% of higher and postgraduate education institutions out of the 8,500 considered in the ranking.
The QS WUR certificate awarding ceremony became not only a recognition of the universities’ achievements but also a symbol of the further development of science and education in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
