On March 26, 2026, a lecture was held at Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Damina D. Shaibakova on the topic “Linguistic Pluricentrism and Aspects of Its Study.” The lecture was attended by faculty members as well as doctoral students of the university.

During the lecture, the necessity of integrating accumulated scientific knowledge in the study of the contemporary linguistic situation was substantiated. It was noted that current scientific achievements contribute to the improvement of research models, ensuring their flexibility and adaptability to changing conditions.
It was emphasized that, under conditions of pluricentrism, language should be viewed as an open system functioning in a variety of forms and variants. In contrast to traditional linear approaches, the modern description of linguistic processes is based on the principles of multilinear development, variability, and differentiation.

It was concluded that language functions dynamically, in conditions of constant and essential interaction with other languages and cultures, which determines its development as a complex and evolving system.
The lecture was conducted in an interactive format. Participants actively asked questions and engaged in discussion with Professor Shaibakova. We highly appreciate and are grateful for the opportunity to attend lectures delivered by such an outstanding scholar as Professor Damina D. Shaibakova.
