Within the framework of implementing the “Law and Order” ideology, a city debate tournament on the topic “Security and Peacekeeping” was held on March 28–29, 2026, at Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.
The event was organized by the Pantheon Debate Club of the university. The tournament aimed to develop students’ critical thinking and public speaking skills, as well as to increase their interest in pressing issues of international security and global peacekeeping.

Teams from leading universities of Almaty took part in the debates, including Satbayev University, Suleyman Demirel University (SDU), Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), NARXOZ University, and Turan University. The participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, argumentation, and analytical thinking while discussing modern challenges in international security, the role of states and international organizations in maintaining peace, and ways to prevent conflicts.
Over the course of two days, teams competed in intellectual rounds, defending their positions on complex and multifaceted issues. The tournament became an effective platform for exchanging ideas, fostering active citizenship, and strengthening inter-university cooperation.
As a result of the tournament, the winners and prize-winners were determined and awarded diplomas and commemorative prizes. The winners of the main final were the team consisting of Dias Saifulla (Al-Farabi KazNU) and Vladislav Kulichenko (IITU).
The winners of the Novice Final were the team consisting of Kelman Miras (Satbayev University) and Li Lina (Turan University). All participants gained valuable experience in public speaking and reasoned debate.
Such events contribute to the development of legal culture, responsibility, and respect for the principles of law and order among young people, which is an important part of implementing the “Law and Order” ideology.
