On March 31, 2026, the Zhetysu State University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted the Republican interuniversity competition “AI SANA - Digital Kazakhstan: Projects of the Future.” The AI-OSINT team from Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages took part in the competition.

The contest was organized within the framework of the national initiative “AI SANA,” launched by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and aimed at supporting student projects in the context of digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan.
Teams from leading universities across the country that had passed the selection stage participated in the final round.
The team presented the project: “Digital Analysis of Kazakhstan’s Information Field in the Global Media Space: Computational Simulation Modeling.”
The project focuses on a comprehensive study of Kazakhstan’s representation in the global information space. It included the analysis of digital data flows from international media, social networks, and online platforms in order to identify key narratives, sentiment of publications, and factors influencing the country’s image. Particular attention was given to identifying information trends, potential risks of disinformation, and the specifics of content dissemination in the global media environment.

Using computational modeling methods, the team developed simulation models that allow forecasting the dynamics of information dissemination, assessing the impact of various actors and scenarios on the information field, and analyzing the resilience of the media space to external informational influences.
The results obtained can be applied to improve information policy strategies, enhance the effectiveness of international communications, and develop tools to counter information threats.
The team members:
– G.R. Absattarov - Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor, Scientific Supervisor;
– S. Sayatbek - PhD student in International Relations;
– A.B. Kairolla - Master’s student in Oriental Studies.
According to the results of the competition, the team won an honorable 3rd place, confirming the high level of student training, academic supervision, and the relevance of research in the field of information analysis and digital technologies.
We congratulate the AI-OSINT team on their outstanding performance and wish them further academic success, new projects, and future victories!
