On April 22, 2026, the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain, Mr. Luis Francisco Martinez Montes, and the Director of the Cervantes Institute in Istanbul, Mr. Fernando Martinez Vara de Rey.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the university leadership and the Spanish language lecturer of the Department of European Languages. The discussions focused on the development of Spanish language teaching, academic mobility, and the expansion of international cooperation.
Particular attention was given to strengthening partnerships with Spanish universities, developing academic exchange programs, and enhancing cooperation in specialist training.
Both sides highlighted the strong potential for further collaboration and expressed their interest in implementing joint educational and research initiatives.
The visit marked an important step in strengthening academic and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Spain.
