On 25 June 2025, the Department of International Law organized and held a round table entitled "Constitution: A Course Towards the Future", featuring Professor Eduard Bulatovich Mukhamedzhanov, Doctor of Law, a distinguished expert in constitutional law, and one of the scholars who contributed to the drafting of the first Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In his presentation, Professor Mukhamedzhanov highlighted the historical significance of the development of Kazakhstan’s constitutional legislation, emphasizing the Constitution's role as the fundamental legal framework of the State. He also addressed the importance of ongoing constitutional reforms in strengthening the rule of law, democratic institutions, and the protection of human rights and freedoms.

The round table was held in the format of an engaging and substantive discussion. Participants explored the evolution of constitutional development in the Republic of Kazakhstan, current trends in improving constitutional legislation, and the impact of constitutional reforms on public administration, the judicial system, and the development of civil society. Particular attention was paid to fostering legal culture, promoting constitutional values among young people, and emphasizing the role of legal education in preparing future legal professionals who recognize their responsibility to uphold the principles of constitutionalism, legality, and the rule of law.

Throughout the discussion, faculty members and students actively shared their views, raised questions, and exchanged perspectives on the future development of constitutional law. Participants emphasized the importance of enhancing public legal awareness, strengthening the principles of justice, legality, and the rule of law. The open dialogue provided an excellent opportunity to exchange professional opinions, examine contemporary challenges in Kazakhstan's constitutional development, and receive valuable insights and recommendations from one of the country's leading scholars in constitutional law.
The event was held in an atmosphere of constructive academic dialogue, attracted considerable interest from both students and faculty members, and served as an important platform for discussing current issues and future prospects of constitutional development in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
