  • Guest lecture: "Features of Collaboration with Foreign Partners, Tour Operators, and Digital Platforms"

    On January 22, 2026, as part of the minor course “Event Management”, a guest lecture was held for Year 4 students of the Educational Program 6B11101 “Tourism” and Year 3 students of the Educational Program 6B11102 “Restaurant and Hotel Business”. The guest speaker was the Head of the Marketing Department at Almaty Tourism Bureau - Daurzhan Kopzhanov, who shared practical experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. The lecture covered marketing and advertising topics, as well as collaboration with international partners, tour operators, and digital platforms. The discussion focused on mechanisms of international cooperation, promoting events in foreign markets, working with professional networks and platforms, and the requirements and standards set by international partners in the event industry.

  • Theoretical and Methodological Seminar within the Implementation of the Research Project

    On January 20, 2026, a theoretical and methodological seminar was held at the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages within the framework of the implementation of the research project funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, AP23490344 “Tendency of economization of international relations and economic diplomacy of New Kazakhstan”. The seminar was devoted to discussing theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of economic diplomacy and its instruments under contemporary conditions and aimed at providing methodological support for the further implementation of the research project.

    On January 15-16, 2026, the Rectors’ Forum “Ensuring the Quality of Higher Education: Current State and Development Prospects” was held in Astana. The event was attended by the Acting Rector of Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL, D.A. Kunanbaeva. The forum brought together the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, as well as representatives of government bodies, international organizations, and the expert community.

  • REGIONAL STUDENT COMPETITION IN THE DISCIPLINE “BUSINESS PLANNING”

    JSC Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages is holding a Regional Student Competition in the discipline “Business Planning” on November 27, 2025, among students of the 041 – Business and Management field of study from higher education institutions across Kazakhstan.

    13 teams are taking part in the competition, including:

    • L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU)
    • Astana International University
    • Shakarim University, Semey
    • as well as representatives of other universities of Kazakhstan.

    Purpose of the competition:

    To develop the scientific-research and innovative potential of university students in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
    The competition aims to promote entrepreneurial thinking, support business initiatives, and create conditions for the implementation of ideas that can influence the social and economic development of the country’s regions.

    Members of the jury include representatives of business structures:

    - Almaty Hub — Regional Center of Digital Technologies under the Digitalization Office of Almaty City
