On October 31, 2023, the international conference "Political Dialogue in the Spotlight of Global Transformation: Security Challenges and Partnership Prospects for the EAEU and Central Asia" was held in Astana.

The event was organized by the International Center for Geopolitical Forecasting "East-West" in cooperation with the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.

On October 28, 2023, a historical exhibition dedicated to the formation of the Republic of Turkey was held in the Palace of the Republic of Almaty. Exactly one hundred years ago, on October 29, 1923, Turkey was proclaimed a republic. On October 26, 2023, the “Dilmar Club” of the Department Eastern Philology of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Ablai khan KazUIR and WL organized a guest lecture on the topic “Türk Kültüründe Kadın İmgesi” on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic.

Senior lecturer, head of the department of Oriental Studies of Ablai Khan University, Uralbayev Samat Salamatovich has won the Nelson Mandela Residential Fellowship 2023 and was granted with the full stipend of the Center for Diplomatic Advancement. The professional training of the fellowship was held on 19-25 October 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey and more than 20 fellows from South Africa, China, Russia, Egypt, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, Colombia, Morocco, Romania, UK and other countries took part and discussed the heritage of Nelson Mandela, shared ideas of international peace, diplomacy and current affairs of the world.

On October 24, 2023, Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages held a republican scientific-practical conference on the topic “Global challenges: geopolitical, economic and legal aspects". The conference was timed to the Republic Day of Kazakhstan as well as the UN Day.

Faculty of Management and International Communication continues its cooperation with the consulting and recruitment agency ASA HRM in planning and organizing international internship for the students majoring in «6В11101 Tourism» and «6B11102 Restaurant business and hotel industry». ASA HRM is a leading Turkish company which provides foreign students with the employment and internship opportunities in hotel enterprises in Turkey.  The internship is carried out within the framework of the Agreement between KazUIR&WL and ASA HRM. During the internship, students acquire practical skills in working in various positions of the hotel departments of Front Office, Guest Relations, Animation and Food & Beverages.
