On April 5, 2023, the Faculty of Translation and Philology under the leadership of Senior Lecturer of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics G.K. Toishibayeva held a Contest - quiz on the topic: "My profession as a translator is my conscious choice!", in which about 55 students of 104, 105, 106 and 108 groups took The purpose of the contest was to awaken the cognitive interest of students in their specialty, to deepen their knowledge about it; in general, to form the professional competencies of the student, including communicative ones.
1st year students of the Faculty of Translation and Philology KazUIR&WL named after Abylai Khan, who were under the guidance of teachers of the Russian language of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics Ph.D., Associate Professor Ibadildina Z.Kh. and M.D., Senior Lecturer Abdikerimova G.S, visited JSC RLST Center for Library and Information Services in honor of the day of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This event was timed to coincide with the year of the Russian language in the CIS. Library staff familiarised students with the library fund, conducted an informative tour of the reading room and archive. Future translators took with interest the information about working with the catalogue, the library fund, which finds practical application in Russian language classes when performing independent works on scientific topics.
Assoc. A.M. Saparbayeva organised a visit for students of group 110 of the Faculty to A. Kasteev Museum of Art. Aim: to deepen students' knowledge on the topic "Traditional and mass culture". Students made acquaintance with a large collection of Kazakhstani masters, which includes the works of M. Comrade Telzhanova, M. Village Kenbaeva, N. Year Khludova, A. Kasteeva, A. Min. Cherkassky, S. And. Kalmykova, etc.
To develop students' in-depth knowledge of Kazakh applied folk art, a hall of applied folk art was visited, where a large collection of felt pile carpets, leather and wood products are presented.
