Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, which has a planetary scale, the University hosts many events and the fact that the world is moving towards the economyщаknowledge is real. Today we would like to tell you about the features of the elective course “One Asia - One World”, which started on February 1 this year and issponsored with an educational grant by the Japanese fund“Eurasia Foundation”that shares the experience in the field of education in the age of digitalization, pandemic and its impact on the world around us.

11.03.2021 at 14:00 an online meeting was held on the topic "The Turkish language and my future", organized by the Department of Eastern Philology (Turkish language section), Faculty of Oriental Studies.

On March 15, 2021, at 11:00, an online round table was held on the topic: "SDGs - our common interests" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Abylai Khan KazUIR&WL. This event was attended by the Representative of the UN Department of Global Communications in Almaty - Vlastimil Samek, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations - Khayrullaeva V.Kh., Head of the Professional Department of International Relations (senior courses) - Askhat G., Head of the Department of «Contemporary History of Kazakhstan» Shaimordanova Z.D., Professorial and teaching staff of the department, Moderator of the round table - Master of IR Abdrazakova L.N.

On March 3, 2021, at 14.30, a republican round table was held on the topic "Actual problems of modern methodology of foreign language education". This event was held based on the Research applied laboratory "Modernization of foreign language education on the basis of cognitive - linguocultural methodology" of KazUIR&WL Ablai khan  in the program of scientific internship of master students from the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, University of friendship of peoples academician A. Kuatbekov, Shakarim State University of Semey.

From 22 February to 5 March 2021 with the initiative of the Faculty of Translation and Philology Professor PhD Gloria Gutierrez Almarza from Nottingham Trent University (UK) delivered online lecture series titled “Focus on research and aspects of teaching a FL” for the teaching staff and postgraduate students. The lecture series involved interactive discussions on various aspects of research activities, in particular, starting from international requirements for writing a research proposal and writing a master dissertation and doctoral thesis of postgraduate students, including literature review and research methodology, analysis of data collection methods, processing primary sources and statistical analysis of data used in research. On top of that, during the second week of the online course, the lecturer has focused on modern technologies in teaching a foreign language at higher institutions as well as the formation and evaluation of students’ intercultural communicative competence.

On February 26, 2020, a practical discussion of spoken English with a guest teacher Janpeissov Temirlan from the MIA educational center was held with students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

The main focus was on understanding fluent speech. Towards the end of the meeting, the students asked questions related to the English language. Special attention was devoted to the topic of preparation for "IELTS".

On February 27, 2021 by Kazumo_MUN Club on the highest level was organized and held online International MUN Conference. There were delegates from five continents of the world, who joined efforts in searching “Building back better in a post-COVID-19 world”.

On February 23, 2021, was held an international online scientific-practical conference "Actual problems of the development of Independent Kazakhstan in the process of its transformation", which dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Doctor of Philosophical Science, Professor Bulekbaev Sagadi Bayuzakovich. The organizers of this scientific event were the Faculty and the Department of Postgraduate Education.

Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages holds on April 14. 2021 at 10.00 am  an International Scientific and Practical Online Conference "II Ablai Khan Readings" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 80th anniversary of Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages and the implementation of the program “Rukhani Zhagyru”

19.02.2021, an online TALK on the topic "IELTS" was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies with a student Aruzhan Zhumageldina , who successfully passed the exam and has experience teaching IELTS in a Japanese school.

Aruzhan shared her story on the way to successfully passing the exam, told about life hacks for preparing for IELTS.

Also, answered students ' questions, she shared textbooks, educational resources and videos, answered questions about the order of passing the exam.
