On April 7, 2023, a lecture by the Spanish Associate Professor Sanchez Juan on the topic “The first Mangaka: The world and art of Katsushika Hokusai” was held at the Faculty of International Relations of JSC “KazUMOiWL named after Abylai Khan”. The lecture by a foreign researcher was held as part of the course “Migration processes in the modern world, United Asian Community” sponsored by the Japanese Foundation “Eurasia Fondation” (from Asia). This course of lectures are part of the structure of the research project "United Asia - One World", which has been conducted by Professor Aidarbekov Z.S. for 3 years, and the project coordinator is the associate professor of the Department of Modern History of Kazakhstan and worldview disciplines Khairullaeva V. X.
During the speech, Professor Sanchez Juan dwelled in great detail on the origin of the Japanese style of fine arts. Particular attention was paid to the intricacies of reproducing paintings by Japanese artists and the influence of this process on the emergence of the country's national culture itself, which in the future will be fundamentally reflected in contemporary Japanese art.
At the end of the lecture, the students had a lot of questions for further discussion! This fact showed the interest of the students, and pleasantly surprised our guest from abroad, who, in turn, expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of the university, as well as the Faculty of International Relations!
