This year the Faculty of Management and International Communications celebrates the 10th anniversary of cooperation with the consulting and recruitment agency ASA HRM, Turkey on the planning and organization of foreign practice of students of the study programs "6B11101 Tourism" and "6B11102 Hospitality Business." ASA HRM is one of the leading recruitment companies in Turkey, specializing in global recruitment and consulting services for over 15 years. In addition to its head offices located in Turkey, the company has branches in Germany, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and, thanks to its multinational structure, has an extensive network in more than 50 countries.
This cooperation has been carried out within the framework of the Agreement between KazUIR&WL and ASA HRM since 2014. As a result of this cooperation, to date about 500 students of the study programs on "tourism" and "hospitality business" have completed a 5-month internship in Turkey and have improved their professional skills and abilities.
During the internship, students acquire practical skills in various positions of Front Office, Guest Relations, Animation and Food & Beverages departments, as well as transfer guides at such 5-star hotels as Sunis Royal Efes Izmir, Kirman Belazur, Selectum Luxury Resort, Gloria Golf Resort, Mega Saray Belek. According to the results of the international internship, students acquire professional skills, improve the level of knowledge of English and Turkish languages, receive certificates and letters of recommendation, which in turn contributes to their subsequent employment in tourist and hotel enterprises in Kazakhstan.
We are pleased to announce that EURHODIP has highlighted this cooperation as a model of successful interaction between the university and enterprises in organizing student practice in the May edition of the association's magazine. EURHODIP is an international association of educational institutions that train specialists in the field of tourism and hospitality and our university has been a full member of this association since 2004.
