On December 28, 2020 the teaching staff of the Department of Postgraduate Education held an on-line theoretical and methodological seminar on the topic "Modern trends and methodological problems of science". At the seminar considered and discussed the methodological problems of linguistics and the methodology of education. The seminar was organized in the framework of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Kazakh Abylai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages.
The Vice-Rector of Scientific and Innovative Activity, Doctor of Economic Science, Professor M.U. Uspanova, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, Professor K.Sh. Bayssultanova made a welcoming speech. The moderator of the theoretical and methodological seminar was Doctor of Philological Science, Professor Makhpirov Velinur Uygurovich. The following reports were presented for discussion: "About linguosynergetic nature of the semantic category" of Doctor of Philological Science, Professor Rysaldy K.T.; “Perspective research trends and methodological problems of the theory of foreign language education” of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor T. Kuznetsova; "Distance learning - problems and prospects" of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Dzhusubalieva D.M.
The seminar was intended to intensify the work on the promotion of scientific knowledge, vocational guidance and the attraction of young people to scientific creativity and research work on educational programs of foreign language education. Leading professors of the Kazakh Abylai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, doctoral students and undergraduates took an active part in the discussion of topical issues of methodological problems of linguistics.
