The Faculty and the Department of Postgraduate Education of the Abylai Khan KazUIR&WL on April 15, 2021, as part of a series of scientific events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Abylai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages, held an online republican roundtable on the topic "Current problems of Socio-Humanitarian sciences" within the framework of within the Applied Research Laboratory II and II - Contemporary studies of international relations and regional studies, a new world paradigm of geo-economic and geopolitical competition / Comparative studies in the field of Oriental studies. It was attended by leading scientists of the University, and masters and doctoral students of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, in particular, representatives of the Astana International University, Eurasian National University named after LN Gumilyov.
The moderator of this event was the head of the educational program "Oriental Studies", Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor E. M. Kagazbayeva. The Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, Candidate of Political Sciences, Professor K. S. Baysultanova made a welcoming speech. The speakers of the seminar were Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Raev D. S. and Doctor of Philology, Professor Shevyakova T. V. The speakers presented reports on the following topics: "Actual problems of modern humanities" and "Media text as a category of a new information space".
Interesting and relevant reports were also presented by young researchers-masters, doctoral students of our university and Kazakh partner universities (Sadykhanova I. B., Bugytaeva S. K., Baktygalieva Kh. B., Karaeva D., Mukhamedyarova A.., Tineybay D., etc.). No less interesting and useful was the exchange of views, which was attended by all the participants of the roundtable. The Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, Candidate of Political Sciences, Professor K. S. Baysultanova noted the breadth and variety of topics, the high level of training, the enthusiasm of the speakers and listeners.
