In the period from 29.01.2024-02.02.2024 at Ablai khan KazUIRandWL, with the support of the Korean Institute of Literary Translation of the Republic of Korea, plans to hold “Korean Literature Week 2024” to raise awareness of Korean literature and culture, including two projects:
1) Launching of E-learning platform for undertaking a three-month training program for CIS literary translators in <Centre for literary translation> at SJKLA to improve translation skills and to host online international workshops with literary translators, researchers and publishers, as well as all kind academic events and activities related to Korean literature or translation for the purpose of promoting Korean literature in CIS-countries.
2) Opening of the Korean Book Club to provide Kazakhstan book lovers with opportunity to get acquainted with Korean fiction, poetry, drama, essay, web novel, webtoon, scenario and discuss highly acclaimed Korean literature books in translation at regularly organize themed evening dedicated to the works of a particular korean author.
