On November 6, 2024, an open lesson was held by the Professor of the Department of International Business Akparova A.A. for 2nd-year students of the educational program "International Business". The lesson was in the format of "Business Game" on the subject of "Statistics", dedicated to the Day of National Statistics in the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 8.

On 31 October and 1 November, the Model UN team participated in the Central Asia Model United Nations (CAMUN) 2024, organized by the CAMUN Secretariat and hosted by the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Almaty. The event brought together six different committees working in three languages, providing delegates with a unique platform to gain critical information and invaluable professional experience.

From October 28 to November 1, AU hosted a week of Chinese culture for graduates of secondary schools and colleges, during which our guests learned the basics of Chinese calligraphy, mastered basic elements of dance, studied dumpling-making techniques and much more.

On October 31, the official opening ceremony of the Korea Corner took place at Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, dedicated to the celebration of the 578th anniversary of the creation of the Korean script Hangul. The Korea Corner opening at Ablai Khan University was possible thanks to the program of support for foreign universities provided by the International Korea Foundation. The initiative to open the Korea Corner at our university belongs to the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Almaty.

On October 30, the premiere of the documentary film "Kazakhs of the Chinese Altai" took place within the walls of our university. The film introduced viewers to the life and culture of ethnic Kazakhs living in Eastern China, their way of life and traditions, which they carefully preserve far from their historical homeland. The author and director of the film Madina Ashilova, together with the film crew of the Turan TV channel, went on an exclusive auto expedition, laying a route from the Chinese-Mongolian border in the east to the border of Kazakhstan and China in the west.

Our students of the Faculty of Translation and Philology of the OP "Foreign Philology: English" became winners at the Republican Subject Olympiad, which was held at the Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov.

On October 30, 2024, the Faculty of Management and International Communications took part in a methodological seminar on the topic "Scientific Research, Pedagogy, and Leadership Development". The seminar was led by Senior Lecturer, PhD Amina Uaysova, who completed the "500 Scholars" internship at the University of Minnesota, USA. During the seminar, our colleague shared information about the state of Minnesota, the University of Minnesota, and the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). In addition, an innovative teaching method, Universal Design Learning (UDL), was presented.

The Department of international law of JSC "Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages" organized a guest lecture with the participation of Evgeny Vladimirovich Kvashnin - leading attorney of the Legal Consultation No. 6 at the Almaty City Bar Association on October 29, 2024. This guest lecture was held for the 3^rd and 4^th year law students studying in the EP "6B04202 International Law" and "6B04201- Jurisprudence" with the aim to enrich their general theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of advocacy and improve their professional competencies and practice-oriented skills in the field of legal services.

On October 31, 2024, the Center for Korean Studies of Ablai Khan University will celebrate the 578th anniversary of Korean alphabet Hangeul and the grand opening of the Korea Corner.
