On December 12, 2024, the Center for Korean Studies of Ablai Khan KazUIR&WL, together with Sookmyung University (South Korea), held the annual Korean essay contest among 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students of the three educational programs: “Oriental Studies,” “Foreign Philology,” and “Translation Studies.”

On December 11, 2024, the «ZaKadrom» student organization presented a production of the play «Hamlet» by William Shakespeare. Students from all faculties of the university took part in the performance.

The guys put their whole soul and incredible efforts into the realization of one of the most difficult plays in the world of drama, immersing the audience in the atmosphere of the Renaissance era — with its internal contradictions, complex human emotions and philosophical reflections. The production allowed for a new look at the famous characters and key themes of the work, such as revenge, justice and fate.

On December 12, 2024, an essay contest (백일장) will be held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students of the Korean department of all three educational programs: "Oriental Studies", "Foreign Philology", "Translation Studies", organized by Sookmyung University of the Republic of Korea and the Center for Korean Studies of  KazUIR&WL named after Ablai Khan.

Museums are the golden pillar of spiritual renewal. A museum is a golden bridge between the past and the present, a guardian of the nation’s spiritual wealth, passing it on to future generations. First-year students of the Faculty of International Relations at Abai Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages visited the house-museum of Ahmet Baytursynov, the memorial apartment of D.A. Kunaev, and the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We had the unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the spirit of history and culture in these sacred places. This journey not only expanded our horizons but also deepened our understanding of the spiritual values of our people.

On December 9, 2024, the Department of "History of Kazakhstan" of the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and Languages organized a video contest among students "Philosophy of Independent Kazakhstan" dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  The purpose of the competition is to awaken the national patriotic feelings of our students, instill philosophical wisdom, explain how valuable independence is, and raise the national spirit. Before the competition, students in national clothes spoke about independence with inspiring statements from great historical persons. The competition is organized among 2nd year students of specialties: "International Relations", "International Business", "Jurisprudence", "Foreign Philology", and "Translation studies". teachers who guided our students: Iztaeva V.A., Doszhanova A.I., Nasyrova M.Yu.

On December 6, 2024, the annual, traditional psychological and pedagogical Olympiad "Men - zamanaui mugalimi!" - "I am a teacher of a new formation!" organized by the Pedagogical Faculty of Foreign Languages, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology. 6 teams took part in the Olympiad: "Amanat", head Zhansugurova K., "Mektep zhuldyzdary", head Samarkhan A., "Gen Z", head Sarkanbayeva G.K., "Innovation", head Aubakirova G.M., "Zamandas ziyatker", head Tursunbayeva A.U., "Progressors", head of the 1st year of pedagogical faculty. The teams competed in 4 rounds: Greeting the team; The "Scrabble" competition (Captains Competition).; The structure and brief description of the content of the extracurricular activities plan; "Reviewing the film" (excerpts from social videos).

Team composition: at least 8 players

(4 on the court + 1 goalkeeper and substitutes)

On December 5, 2024, Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages hosted the «InYaz Dauysy» vocal contest. This event brought together talented students, faculty, and guests, becoming a true celebration of music and inspiration.

On December 5, 2024, the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, together with the Center for Distance Education, organized and held a student competition for presentations on information and communication technologies, dedicated to the theme 'Using Computer Technologies in Work with Texts.' The competition was held among students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Faculty of Translation and Philology, and the Pedagogical Faculty of Foreign Languages in a traditional (offline) format. First-year students participated, studying the specialties of 'Translation Studies' and 'Foreign Philology' (European and Oriental Languages).

On December 3, the Department of Kazakh Philology at Abylai Khan KazUIR&WL hosted a literary and scientific benefice titled “Koja and Freedom”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Berdibek Sokpakbaev’s birth.

The event aimed to acquaint students with Berdibek Sokpakbaev’s life, highlighting the unique aspects of his writing and analyzing his internationally acclaimed works.
