From April 25 to May 5, 2023, on the basis of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education and the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Kazakh International Relations and World Languagesnamed after Abylai Khan, together with the Hebei Engineering University (PRC), as part of the international project "One Belt - One Road", a number of events were held dedicated to the decade of the Chinese initiative.
The first day of the event began with the grand opening of the Chinese calligraphy competition, which was attended by senior students of the educational program of Oriental Studies and undergraduates of the educational programs "Foreign Philology", "Simultaneous Translation" and "Oriental Studies".
On April 28, 2023 was held a round table on the topic: “Kazakhstan-Chinese cooperation within the framework of the One Belt - One Road project”. A welcoming speech was made by the Vice-Rector of KazUIR and WL named after Abylai Khan, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Uspanova M.U. and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Law of Hebei Engineering University, Dr., Professor Du Lei, assistant professors Liu Xinxia, Li Bingyan, Wang Ru, teachers Wang Lei, Shi Yanhong, and students of Hebei University of Engineering.
The participants agreed that the Kazakh-Chinese people are united by long-term friendly and good neighborly relations, friendship between Kazakhstan and China is in the interests of both countries. The Chinese "One Belt - One Road" and Kazakhstan's "Nurly Zhol", smoothly intertwining, contribute to the further deepening of economic cooperation between the two countries. After the meeting, the participants took a group photo as a keepsake.
