On October 28, 2023, a historical exhibition dedicated to the formation of the Republic of Turkey was held in the Palace of the Republic of Almaty. Exactly one hundred years ago, on October 29, 1923, Turkey was proclaimed a republic. This day marked a new step in the history of Turkey, the beginning of the period of independence and national revival. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk implemented a series of reforms aimed at political, legal, cultural and social modernization of the country and laid the foundations of the state.
The exhibition, at the invitation of Anar Babazhanova, the head of the "Dilmar" circle of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, was attended by teachers of the Department of Oriental Philology, senior lecturer of the Department of Oriental Studies Zhunusova A.K., associate professor Eserkepova J.O. and students of the Department of Turkology. The festive exhibition was opened by Evren Muderrisoglu, Consul General of Turkey in Almaty.
