On December 8, 2020, the Professional Department of International Relations (senior courses) organized a lecture for 3-4 year students of the Faculty of International Relations by Professor Marmara University Ferit Belder on the topic: “From Soft Power to Recurrent Military Operations: Turkish Foreign Policy in post-Arab Spring Period ". The lecture was held online, at a high level. During the lecture, the AKP period Turkish Foreign Policy with respect to the Arab Spring developments were discussed.
Ferit Belder is PhD in international relations at Marmara University. He received his MA in International Relations at Istanbul University in 2013 and MSc in International Politics at SOAS, University of London in 2015. He received his PhD in International Relations from Istanbul University. His research interests include Turkish Foreign Policy, Middle Eastern Politics, Israeli Politics and Security Studies.
The lecture was attended by the Head of the Professorial Department of International Relations (senior courses) PhD Askhat G., Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the faculty Master Uralbayev S., teaching staff of the Professorial Department of International Relations (senior courses) and 3-4 year students of the specialty "5B050500-Regional Studies" and "5B020200-International Relations".
Students showed interest in the problem and actively asked questions, shared their opinions. The moderator and organizer of the online lecture was the Head of the Professorial Department of International Relations (senior courses) PhD Askhat G.
