On May 2  2023, an event dedicated to the Day of Unity of Peoples was held. The organizers were the student council and the dean's office of the FMMC. It was attended by 1st year students. The teachers of the departments were invited as a jury. The students greeted the guests in accordance with the traditions of the chosen country, performed creative performances, and presented traditional treats from different countries.

In connection with the announcement of 2023 as the "Year of Temirbek Zhurgenov", Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Abylai Khan, Pedagogical Faculty of Foreign Languages, Department of Pedagogy and Psychology on 28.04.2023 at 14: 00 on the topic "Bilim men ult onerin orkendetken" dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the famous statesman and public figure Temirbek Zhurgenov together with scientists and teachers of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov (Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Art History, Professor Kulbayev Aman Bekenovich; Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of Art History, academician of the International Academy of Informatization Abildina Gainizhamal Baykarimovna; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Sadykova Aigul Eginbayevna, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Associate Professor, head of the course of 4th year students Amanzhanova Gulnar Bekenovna, teachers of the course: director of the theater for teenagers and children named after G. Musrepov, Master of Art Studies Yesenaliev Talgat Kamkabaevich; Artist theater "New Century", Master of Theater Arts Turarbekov Adilet Kanatbekovich); held a meeting concert with students of the 4th year of the theater faculty.

On April 28, 2023, among 3rd year students of the Teacher Training Faculty was held an educational event "Spelling Bee" organized by the teachers of the “Theory and Practice of International Communication” department. The purpose of the event is to form the correct pronunciation of the presented words and terms in English.

On April 27, 2023, the poetry competition “Ablay Khan Akyny” took place, orginazed by the student club of poetry and theater “Muragerler”.

2023 in honor of the 111th anniversary of the" hero of the nation " - Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunaev in order to summarize the lessons of the history lesson during the year, on April 26-27, more than 240 students, led by teachers of the Faculty of Translation Studies and Philology of the Kazakh University of international and world languages named after Abylai Khan, the Department of modern history and worldview disciplines of Kazakhstan, went to the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan to expand our journey to the sea of history.

From January to May 2023, 1st year undergraduates (specialty "Foreign Philology", "Journalism") studied the international online course "Media Landscape of Culture: Reading the Text".

From April 25 to May 5, 2023, on the basis of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education and the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Kazakh International Relations and World Languagesnamed after Abylai Khan, together with the Hebei Engineering University (PRC), as part of the international project "One Belt - One Road", a number of events were held dedicated to the decade of the Chinese initiative.

On 18-20 April, 2023, the student of the 3rd year of the educational programme "Journalism" Aruzhan Beketkyzy participated in the "Civic Tech Camp" program as part of the project "Your voice matters. Civic participation in decision-making through technology”.

On April 20, 2023, the III City Student Forum "Science, Creative & Art Forum 2023" was held at the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov. Under the guidance of the head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and World Studies, Associate Professor Iztaeva Venera Amangeldievna and senior lecturer Doszhanova Akmaral Ivnovna, 1st year students of Oriental Studies of the specialty "Sociology" took part.

From аpril 17-20, 2023, оn the occasion of "Day of the Chinese language in the UN," at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named Abylai Khan, together with the Confucius Institute, on the educational programs of translation studies, foreign languages and оriental studies, among students of 1-3 courses were the following competitions:

1) Competition of tongue twisters in Chinese

2) Proverbs competition

3) Chinese essay writing and translation of fictional texts into Chinese
