During the period between 30 January 2023 and 19 May 2023 Dr. Judith Babbitts, Senior Fulbright Scholar and a professor at the University of Massachusetts-Boston in the United States conducted a four-month professional development and teaching workshop on ‘The Role of Technology in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education’ ‘The Role of Technology in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education’ for the teaching staff of the Translation and Philology Faculty and Pedagogical Faculty of Foreign Languages at Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages.

19.05.2023 a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Ablai khan KazUIR and WL and Ondokuz mayis university (OMÜ, Republic of Turkey, Samsun city). On behalf of our university, the document was signed by the Chairman of the Board-Rector Academician Kunanbayeva Salima Sagievna, on the part of Ondokuz mayis university, the memorandum was signed by the Rector, Professor Yavuz Unal.

 17.05.2023 within the framework of the event “Celebration of the memory of Ataturk, youth and sports”, the competition “ My Turkish -Benim Türkçem” was held at the Lyceum “InterLingua” among students in grades 7-8. This event was prepared by the Turkish language teacher Akaisha Yemshibekovna Malimova, a graduate of the Ablai khan KazUIR and WL, master of the educational program "Oriental Studies".

On May 12, 2023, Karaganda Technical University named  Abylkas Saginov hosted the finals of the republican stage of the World Chinese Language Competition "Bridge Chinese 2023". 26 people from Astana, Almaty, Aktobe and Karaganda competed in Chinese language and culture knowledges.

On May 12, the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages held the international scientific and practical conference "Current Problems of Methodology of Oriental Studies" dedicated to the memory of Doctor of Historical Sciences, famous scientist and professor of the Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL Galiev Anuar Abitaevich (1959-2022)

"Thank you grandfather for the Victory" - an annual action from the trade union committee of university staff - to the veterans and home front workers of World War II, which claimed millions of lives!!! They forged the Victory for 5 long years!!! We remember!! We are proud!!!

On 05/04/2023, a solemn event "Victory of the country and men" was held among the 3rd year students of the Pedagogical Faculty of Foreign Languages, organized by the teachers of the Department of TaPIC.

From April 17 to 28, 2023, the Center for Korean Studies of Ablai khan KazUIR and WL spent days of the Korean language and culture at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Within 2 weeks, a video contest among 1st year students, an essay contest among 2nd year students and a day of Korean cuisine among 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of the Korean Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies were held. In total, about 170 students studying the Korean language took part in the events.

On May 5, the Ablai khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages hosted the Republican scientific and methodological seminar "Actual problems of Eastern philology", dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the candidate of philological sciences, professor Gasan Avdoyevich Aliyev. G. A. Aliyev, as a Turkic scientist and a qualified specialist in the field of the Turkish language, makes a great contribution to the development of Turkic studies and the training of high-level specialists in the Turkish language at the Ablai khan KazUIR and WL, Abay KazNPU and Al-Farabi KazNU.

On May, 4th, as part of the patriotic action "Otan қorgaushylar kүni" a patriotic dictation "Yerkin el ұrpagy" organized and held at Kazakh Ablai Khan University. There were 85 students and teaching staff of the university took part.
