On October 16, 2018, there has been delivered the guest lecture of invited professor from Germany, doctor of political sciences Johann Rau, on «The Life philosophy on the example of European Union» at the faculty of international relations of the university. 

On October 18, 2018, there has been delivered the guest lecture of invited professor Kim Young Sool (South Korea) on «The Regional policy in the South-East Asia region» at the faculty of international relations of the university. 

16th of October Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages held the Discussion of the Message of the Republic of Kazakhstan President "Growth of the welfare of Kazakhstanian people: an increase in income and the quality of life" which involved the University's professors, mentors and students.

In the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy, the Faculty of International Relations conducted a guest lecture with the participation of doctor of historical sciences, Assistant Professor Z.D.Shaimardanova, on the topic “Chinese Migration as a geopolitical and geo-economic fact”. The lecture covered the following issues:

On the eve of the beginning of the school year, on August 22, 2018, the 2nd International Conference on the topic “New opportunities for interregional economic cooperation” was held in Lanchkhuti. Kazakhstan was represented by two teachers of the faculty "International Relations" of KazUIRWL Ablai Khan, Professor S. Azerbaev and Master M. Sarsenov.

On October 4, 2018, within the framework of the course “Rising of China”, for the IR Faculty students of "5B050500-Regional Studies" specialty was organized meeting with the director of the “China Center”, political scientist, expert on Chinese law – Adil Kaukenov. During the meeting, our guest introduced students to contemporary China based on the knowledge he gained during his studies at two universities in China.

Students of the 1st year of the specialty "International Relations", Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Ablai khan, visited on September 27 the poetry contest "Almaty Ansarim" came to an end. The world of literature was organized by the State Fund for the Development of Youth Policy.

On September 21-22, 2018, the First International Central Asia Model United Nations Conference was held in the Nazarbayev Center (Astana). Zhandesh Aknur – 2-nd year student of "5В050500-Regional Studies" has participated in this event, where she represented France. About her participation, Aknur says that this is a unique opportunity to present her vision about global problems, to hear and to meet like-minded people.

On 28 September 2018 at Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, a bright event of new academic year for first-year students  «student initiation ceremony» was held. This year, the University opened its doors to more than 2,500 students, including holders of the "Алтын белгі" sign, winners of international competitions and contests, graduates of NIS and a huge number of students with red certificates.

September 26, 2018 was the seminar on the implementation of MAE: Professional development for teachers on the topic "Introduction and promotion of the master's program", organized by the Department of Professional Digitalization of Education.

The guest of the seminar was Professor and Ph.D. Radh Al Mabuk, who came from the University of Northern Iowa, USA.
