From August 10 to 31, the faculty of the Department of International Communications of the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages took part in trainings organized as part of the summer camp for young experts. The event was held by the Regional Communications Service of Almaty.

Students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Eren Ayzere, Satybaldina Erkenaz and students of the Pedagogical Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​Kaltay Aruzhan, Asilbek Aruzhan took part in the international online course project "Digital Citizenship of the Turkic World" under the guidance of PhD in History, Associate Professor Yeserkepova Zh.O. and Senior Lecturer Mazhikenova Zh.U., and also won a ticket to a scientific camp organized in the Republic of Turkey. This project was held from 02.11.2023 to 05.02. 2024 As a result, our students took part in the science camp on Kazakhstan, which was held at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Republic of Turkey from August 27 to September 1, 2024. From August 20 to 23, the Third Forum on Communication in Central Asia was held at the Khorgos International Center for Cross-Border Cooperation, bringing together experts, scholars, and media representatives to discuss current issues in media and communications. The event, organized with the participation of leading news agencies and educational institutions, became an important platform for dialogue between the countries of Central Asia and China.

On August 20, 2024, Kazakh Abylai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages hosted an official delegation from Gimcheon University (Republic of Korea). The delegation was led by Mr. Park Ock-Soo, Chairman of the University Board, and included the University's Rector, Ms. Yoon Okhyun.

On 16 August 2024, the delegation of the Franklin Institute at the University of Alcala (Spain) visited the Ablai Khan KazUIR&WL. The director of the center, Professor Jose Antonio, introduced the participants to the history of the University of Alcala and the activities of the Franklin Institute. Much attention at the Franklin Institute is paid to conducting scientific research and projects within the framework of American Studies. The Director of the Center is very interested in the work of professors of the Department of International Relations KazUIR&WL and the implementation of joint projects. In turn, the university administration, represented by the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Professor A.T. Chaklikova, expressed readiness to start joint work of the Ablai Khan KazUIR&WL with the Franklin Institute and the University of Alcala in general, not only in the implementation of joint research projects, but also academic mobility of teaching staff and students, co-management of PhD theses, joint scientific publications and Double Degree programs.

On July 17-18, 2024, the IV meeting of the Republican Student Council under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the L. Gumilev Eurasian National University with the participation of Minister Sayasat Nurbek.

From July 2 to 5, 2024, an official visit was made by representatives of Zhejiang University (Hanzhou, China), represented by: Vice-President of Zhejiang University Prof. Xianhai Huang, Director of the Center for Private Economics Research; Deputy Director of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Zhejiang University, Prof. Shiyuan Pan, Director of the Scientific Research Institute of the Zhejiang Free Trade Port "New Era", Head of the Department of International Economics at Zhejiang University, Prof. Jing Lu, Secretary General of the Center for Private Economics Research at Zhejiang University, Prof. Zibin Zhang and the Deputy Director of the Center for Private Economics Research at Zhejiang University, Prof. Zhikai Wang.

From July 1 to 5, 2024, Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL, represented by Vice-rector for Higher Education, Candidate of philosophical sciences, Associated Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan T.V. Seryozhkina attended at the Summer School at the Universita Di Napoli L'Orientale, organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.

The delegation of Ablai Khan KazUIR&WL, headed by Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Kunanbayeva D.A. attended the China-Central Asian Conference on Cooperation in the Field of Production, Research and Development, which was held on June 27, 2024 in Urumqi (XUAR, China). Within the framework of the Forum on Digital Cooperation in Education and the Forum of Rectors of Universities in China and Central Asia, Vice-Rector for Social Development Kunanbaeva D.A. made a report on the process of digitalization of higher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the progressive steps of the Ablai Khan KazUIR&WL ​​in this direction. Also, as part of the discussion, the Vice-Rector for Social Development touched upon the issues of resumption of work within the SCO Universities, the implementation of joint scientific projects with Xinjiang University, with which a program on academic mobility is currently being implemented.

On June 25, 2024, as part of the visit to the People's Republic of China, the Ablai Khan KazUIR&WL signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Shihezi University. Within the framework of this Memorandum, students of Shihezi University will be taught the Kazakh language on the basis of KazUIR&WL. It is also planned to jointly train PhD doctors in the EP “International Relations”, implement joint scientific projects and exchange students and teaching staff of universities. From June 10 to 30 on the basis of Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL started a summer school for students of partner universities - Lyon Lumiere University and Bordeaux Montaigne University (French Republic)! The summer school with rich program, consisting of intensive classes in studying the Russian language, many interesting excursions demonstrating the richness of the history and culture of our region and the country as a whole, is attended by 20 students. It should be noted that training sessions are conducted by leading university professors, and the excursion part of the program is carried out by professional guides who provide summer school students with interesting and significant events and facts from the history, culture and socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On June 12, 2024, Ablai Khan University took part in the international educational exhibition III SILK ROAD of Turkish and Kazakh universities.

The exhibition covered 15 Turkish and 15 Kazakh leading universities. At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in the Republic of Kazakhstan Evren Muderrisoglu and Education Attaché of the Consulate General of Turkey Ayhan Korkmaz performed at stage, drawing attention to the need to further strengthen bilateral relations in the field of education.

On June 8, 2024, the Kt&g Korean Language Academy organized a Korean language speaking competition. The competition was attended by students of the Korean language of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazUIR&WL named after Abylai Khan.

On 06.07.2024, His Excellency Mr. Didier Canesse, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid an official visit to the Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL. During the meeting, Chairman of the Board-Rector Salima Sagievna Kunanbayeva and Mr. Didier Canesse discussed a number of important issues in the field of education, as well as further cooperation in the field of training French language specialists.

On May 30-31, 2024, the annual two-day XV Central Asian Forum InternetCA-2024 was held in Almaty. The forum was attended by the third-year students of “Journalism” and second-year students of “Public Relations” educational programs, as well as the faculty of the Department of International Communications of the Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages by the invitation of the public foundation “International Center for Journalism MediaNet”.

On May 30, 2024, the annual "Job Fair 2024" was held at Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL for 3rd- and 4th-year students. The event was organized by the Center for Internship and Employment under the Academic Administration. The main goal of the job fair was to facilitate the employment of graduates by enabling direct interaction between employers and job seekers.

On May 30, 2024, at Kazakh Ablai khan university of international relations and world languages Foreign Languages Teachers Training Faculty organized a round table on the topic "Current problems and perspectives of foreign language education teachers training".  The aim of the round table was to expand cooperation between our university and schools in the training of foreign language teachers.

May 29-30, 2024 by the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana, held the XVI Republican Subject Olympiad among students in the educational program “Foreign Philology: Chinese Language”. 15 students from educational institutions such as Karaganda Buketov University, Ablai khan KazUIR and WL, L.N. Gumilyov ENU took part on the Olympiad. Our university was represented by Amanzholova Ayazhan, a 4th year student of the educational program “Foreign Philology” of the Faculty of Oriental Studies under the guidance of a master’s degree, senior teacher of the Department of Oriental Philology Mellat Dilnar. In the 1st round she showed good results and defended her scientific project in the 2nd round. As a result, she took 2nd place and was awarded a 2nd degree diploma from the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On May 23-24, SDU University held the Republican Student subject Olympiad among students of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the educational program "6В01702-foreign language: two foreign languages (French)". The Olympiad helped to increase students' motivation to learn French, reveal students' creative abilities, and attract students' teachers to intellectual competitions.
