On April 3, 2025, a festive evening titled "Welcome, Az-Nowruz!" took place at the Abai Kazakh National University of International Relations and World Languages. The event was organized by the senior lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Philology, candidate of pedagogical sciences G. Zh. Tūngatova, and the candidate of philological sciences, associate professor Zh. Q. Dārkenbaevа . The celebration was actively supported by third-year students from Xi'an University, who were participating in a student exchange program in the Department of International Relations and the Faculty of Oriental Studies, specializing in Translation Studies.

On April 2, 2025, at 12:00 PM, a student competition in the format of TED Talks took place in the Red Hall.
The topic of the event was: “Modern Language Learning and Teaching: Embracing Change in Education.”

At Abylai Khan KazUIR&WL, the series of lectures promoting a healthy lifestyle, physical, and mental well-beingcontinues. 01.04, 2025, a lecture on “Mental Health: The Key to a Quality Life” was delivered for students of the Faculty of Translation and Philology.

The lecture was conducted by Muhabbat Armanovna Nizamudin, a clinical psychologist, Master of Social Sciences in Clinical Psychology, a specialist from the Sergey Sklyar Psychotherapy Center, a member of the Eurasian Association for Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy, and a university psychologist.

On April 1^st, the Kazakh-German University hosted the XVII International Scientific Student Conference on the topic "Modern Global Trends: Challenges and Risks for Central Asia," in which third-year students of the "Foreign Philology" program, Duesebayeva Zhaniya and Orazbek Farida, participated and presented reports on various topics. They exchanged reports and shared experiences. The conference provided them with an opportunity to discuss scientific issues, gain new knowledge, and enhance their qualifications. Certificates were awarded to the students for their active participation in the event.

For two months (February–March 2025), the faculty of the Department of Foreign Philology Theory organized meetings with students, where they talked about the opportunities offered by KazUIR&WL University, the study programs, and career growth prospects in the fields of international relations and foreign languages.

As part of the development of partnership relations, the Head of the Center for Practice and Employment of the Academic Administration of Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Kiikbay Moldir Kiikbaykyzy, visited Almaty Polytechnic College.

During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation aimed at developing technical English language skills among students of IT-specialties were discussed.

For students of the 1st year of EP “Restaurant and hotel business” on 27.03.2025 was organized and held a field lecture on the discipline “Infrastructure in the RHB” on the theme “Development of infrastructure of hospitality enterprises in the Republic of Kazakhstan” under the guidance of Zamanbekova Altynashash Bulatovna in a five-star hotel premium class “Swissôtel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty”. The lecture session for students was conducted by one of the leading managers of the hotel Sagyndyk Olzhas Meiramuly.

On March 27 at the Bostandyk District Community Center coordinated by the Youth Policy Department of Almaty the expert platform "Sarapshy" was held. The topic of that event is "Development and promotion of youth business: expert opinion of young entrepreneurs of Almaty". Our university was represented by students from the faculties of international relations, law and business, management and international communications, oriental studies and the pedagogical faculty of foreign languages. The organizers of this event are Enlik Ormakhanova, head of the expert platform "Sarapshy", Aziz Kazhdenbek, head of the Department of Youth Policy of Almaty, Nursultan Bolatuly, deputy head of the Department of Youth Policy of Almaty.

On 27 March 2025, in accordance with the calendar of the IRN research project AP19680449 “Translation Quality Assessment: scientific and educational spheres”, a scientific and methodological seminar was held for teachers and students of the Faculty of Translation and Philology at the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages after Abylai khan. Aizhan Muratovna Kurkimbayeva, Senior Researcher of the project, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Speech Practice of Foreign Languages, delivered a report at the seminar.

From March 5 to March 26, the university was visited by Professor Capitain Jürgen, a lecturer at the Zurich University of Teacher Education and Vice President of United World Colleges (Switzerland), as part of academic cooperation and experience exchange. During his visit, he delivered lectures for the faculty on the topic "Conceptual and Applied Tasks of Training Personnel in Foreign Language Education," addressing key aspects of preparing specialists in the field of foreign language education.

On March 20, 2025, a clean-up day was held at KazAUIR&WL as part of the city campaign «Almaty is our common home» and the republican program «Taza Kazakhstan». Students, faculty and staff of the university took part in the event, joining efforts to improve the territory of the university.

On March 20, 2025, students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies (groups 105, 114, and 118) visited the National Library of Kazakhstan. As part of their visit, they attended the official presentation of the Kazakh translation of "Böri Totem", a novel by Chinese writer Jiang Rong, organized by Steppe & World Publishing. 

On March 19 at 14:00, the Faculty of International Relations, Law and Business and the Library and Information Center of the University jointly held a festive event on the theme “Kalyn Elim, Kazagym, Kayran Zhurtym”, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great poet Abay Kunanbayev.

On March 17, 2025, Leskhan Askar, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Professor of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, gave a lecture «Philosophy of Values of modern Kazakhstan» for students of the Faculty of Translation and Philology of the Kazakh Ablai Khan UIR&WL. In his lecture, the professor repeatedly stressed the importance of forming the right moral guidelines among young people, respect for the national culture and history of Kazakhstan. The lecturer spoke about how important it is to realize responsibility for the future of the country and preserve the historical heritage, inspiring patriotism and active participation in the life of society.

The first cohort of the Kairatker School of Young Politicians, a joint project of the Almaty Maslikhat and the Zhastary Assembly, has completed its training. The school is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and was held with the support of the Almaty Youth Policy Department.

On March 15, 2025, the 28th Kazakhstan Oratory Contest in Japanese was held at the Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages. All 17 participants demonstrated a high level of Japanese language proficiency!

On March 15, as part of the celebration of Kindness Day, the Faculty of Oriental Studies visited Orphanage No. 1. Students and faculty members organized a bright and memorable event for the children.

A 2^nd year law student of Ablai Khan University Kakymzhankyzy Anel took part in the international competition of talented students, organized by the National Innovative Research Center "BILIM ORKENIETI" together with the Republican Innovation Center "Zhana Kazakhstan". Kakymzhankyzy Anel was awarded the title of winner and received a 1st degree Diploma and a badge "The best student of Central Asia" for her contribution to the development of youth policy in the Central Asia countries as a result of a contest. The award ceremony took place on March 15, 2025, at the House of Ministries (Astana).

On March 14, 2025, a meeting of students of the Arabic department of 201 group  of the EP «Foreign Philology»,106 group of the EP «Translation Studies», and 324 group of the EP «Oriental Studies»  of the university with a famous Arabist from Japan (Tokyo), Ph.D. Akifumi Nomura, professor at Takushoku University (TU) was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

On March 13, 2025, the first-year students of the Faculty of Translation and Philology enrolled in the educational program "Translation Studies" at the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Zhenis Zhaksylyk and Sungatova Nazerke participated in the international student conference organized by the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages in online format.
