The educational program “Restaurant Management and Hospitality Business” aims to train service industry professionals. It is one of the most promising areas of modern economic activity, and graduates of the program are capable of achieving effective results in the operation of restaurants and hospitality enterprises. The program is developed in accordance with the requirements of employers and equips graduates with the competencies necessary for professional activities in the field of restaurant management and hospitality. Unique advantages of the program include a balanced combination of knowledge and skills in hospitality, practical experience, academic training, and entrepreneurial thinking, which are essential for transforming the hospitality industry in the Kazakhstani market.
Advanced English language module enables students to adapt confidently during practical training. In addition to English, students study a second foreign language, significantly enhancing their professional and communication skills in an international environment. Throughout their studies, students gain knowledge and skills in the organization of hotel and restaurant businesses, as well as in the use of tools for designing, promoting, and delivering services in the hospitality industry. A distinctive feature of the educational program is the opportunity for students to choose an individual learning pathway in various fields of tourism and hospitality, such as hospitality management, gastronomy, MICE and event management, or international business in hospitality. Students have broad geographical opportunities to participate in academic mobility programs in countries such as the Republic of Turkey, the Netherlands, and Italy.
The teaching staff, consisting of doctors of science, PhD holders, and master's degree holders, employ a variety of teaching methods across all disciplines, including case studies in hospitality, role-playing games, business training, and teamwork.
Graduates of the program can work in the following sectors:
• Hospitality business: hotels, guest houses, hostels, resorts and sanatoriums, resort areas;
• Restaurant business: restaurants, cafes, bars, coffee shops, and food courts in the HoReCa sector;
• Event industry organizations, travel agencies, and tour operators: event companies, tourism enterprises.
